About Me

Hi there! I’m Chris, a landscape architect turned UX designer. Before discovering UX, I worked for 4 years as a landscape architect in San Francisco designing landscapes for private residences, tech campuses, and mixed use developments at Arterra Landscape Architects and Surfacedesign Inc. After earning my certificate in UX Design from DesignLab's UX Academy, I've continued practicing landscape architecture while doing part-time freelance UX design work and looking for a full-time role in UX.

My experience in the design field has been an invaluable lesson in collaboration, communication, creativity, and problem solving. Most important, I've learned how to contribute as part of a greater whole to design things that are used by real people everyday.

I'm driven by compassion for others and a desire to improve people's lives through design. UX design allows me to blend empathy, psychology, and creativity to have a positive impact on the world.

When I'm not working, you can find me staying active in the great outdoors (skiing, skateboarding, surfing, climbing, hiking, biking, and running), camping, reading, cooking, eating, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

I live in Colorado with my amazing wife, Miriam, and our dog, Kylo.
